construction : our client’s brief was to ensure that the new extension to their home was to be full of sunshine and bright living spaces, and to bring natural light deep into the existing house plan. our design incorporated several large rooflights and our client’s aspiration is now being fulfilled as the project progresses on-site.

award winner : great to hear that matt wood : architect has been awarded the West Lancashire Design Award 2019, for our work on the former water tower in Ormskirk : our work, in collaboration with CJ Developments, to convert this wonderful historical structure was awarded the winner of the ‘conversion and re-use of an existing building’ category : two other projects, marlewood + the croft extension, have each been awarded a commendation by the judging panel, in the ‘small residential category’ : congratulations to all our clients for their enthusiasm and commitment in realising these projects.

winner : matt wood : architect has recently been awarded the residential category winner in the West Lancashire Design Awards, for our project at needless inn barns : the award was collected at a presentation evening, with the judges noting that they appreciated "the simplicity and sensitivity of the design and high quality of the finished work" of our extension to a grade II listed building.
