The client for this detached home had exciting aspirations to turn a dated and tired house into a contemporary family home. The existing house lacked cohesion within the internal living areas and did not contribute to the architectural and heritage significance of the Conservation Area in which it is located.
Our designs proposed to extend and fully renovate the house, and to create a unified architectural approach. The use of zinc and cedar cladding, together with the application of a new facing brick throughout, give the home a new identity, worthy of it’s prominent raised position within the Conservation Area.
