The aim of the proposals for this magnificent period property within the Ruff Lane Conservation Area was to provide refurbished, extended and flexible living accommodation, which did not compromise the character of the existing house and local area. The plans draw on the opportunity to unlock the huge potential of an improved connection between the interior of the house and rear outside space.
Internal spaces were significantly but carefully rearranged, and sympathetically refurbished. An existing conservatory and rear walls were removed, replaced with a sunroom and large windows and folding sliding doors, to dramatically enhance the relationship and connectivity of the living areas with the magnificent rear garden. An ensuite and walk-in dressing room were added to the first floor to create a grand master suite. Contemporary and light living areas now augment the character of the house and help bring this family home into the 21st Century.
